Mobilvetta introduces Fluideen
The concept vehicle, a futuristic take on the idea of motorhome travels.
With the launch of the Fluideen concept vehicle, Mobilvetta is embarking on an unprecedented journey of design, comfort and technology.
More than a simple exercise of style, it is a genuine laboratory of ideas that will be shared with the public in Germany, where it will premiere at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, and then in Italy at the Salone del Camper in Parma.
The objectives of the project
Fluideen Mobilvetta opens a window to tomorrow, giving shape to its ambitions, values and imagination. It explores new design ideas and puts original technological solutions and innovative materials, which can be applied to vehicles in the range in the future, to the test. The new concept vehicle will also be the tool to investigate customer opinions and receive valuable feedback for future product developments.
The Fluideen project confirms Mobilvetta’s positioning of innovation and high performance at the heart of its development philosophy.
The name Fluideen
Fluideen is the portmanteau of the words fluid and green.
Fluid evokes the continuity of interior spaces and the surrounding environment, alluding to the soft, sinuous lines of the shapes inspired by the world of nature. The spaces dialogue fluidly and harmoniously with various flexible living solutions, multifunctional areas and versatile accessories that can be transformed as required.
Green hints at immersion in nature and a more sustainable, environmentally conscious lifestyle. The use of natural and recycled materials is a hallmark of the concept. The green aspect is also highlighted in the natural colour palette that contributes to making a relaxing space with inviting harmony and balance
The vehicle exteriors
The exteriors are characterised by aerodynamic shapes and streamlined aesthetics with large glass surfaces running to the side. The elegant colours enhance the contours and shapes.
In addition to the panoramic front skyroof and full LED headlamps, features include digital wing mirrors and keyless central door locking with combined living pod and cab door opening and simultaneous garage door unlocking.
On-board technology
The on-board technology of Fluideen is future-forward with a view to autonomy and innovation, but also to safety and living comfort.
For managing on-board devices, Fluideen features a centralised, intuitive and upgradeable control panel that connects to the user’s smartphone via Bluetooth. The smart water system controls and optimises water consumption, ensuring greater autonomy by recovering grey water. With less drain water, there is no cistern to the benefit of hygiene. The vehicle has a dual lithium battery and inverter system for energy storage and management.
Heat diffusion heating, using water-fed thermo-converters, ensures diffuse and homogeneous heat in the living pod, without temperature fluctuations or noisy air movements.
Safety on the move is maximised by centralised, automatic locking of cupboard doors, flaps and drawers.
The vehicle interiors
Inside, natural light is ensured by one-of-a-kind strip windows that run along the walls of the living area. They have a privacy function and can switch from opaque to transparent at the push of a button. The degree of transparency/opacity can be adjusted to precisely achieve the desired effect.
The style is streamlined and the volumes are pure. The switches are touch-sensitive, there are no handles and the perimeter wall units without side panels contribute to the integration of the various areas.
The interior light can be customised in twelve different colour tones by means of a series of LEDs diffused in all areas of the vehicle.
The dinette table has electric opening and closing by means of a button. On the top a small retractable box contains the USB port and the light point. Recycled fibres with low environmental impact were used for the upholstery of the seats.
The kitchen
The kitchen is conceived as a multifunctional space that can be transformed according to usage needs. The high-performance materials – like the shatter-proof tempered glass kitchen top and the acrylic stone sink – have sophisticated finishes.
In the interests of versatility, the removable magnetic storage containers are interesting. They can be moved from their place on the kitchen worktop and repositioned elsewhere, perhaps on the outdoor table if eating outdoors.
Also noteworthy is the concealed larder integrated into the refrigerator cabinet for additional storage space with a minimal footprint.
Sleeping area
The star of the sleeping area is the scented wallpaper that after being sprayed with fragrance, will gradually release it into the air. The wallpaper is mounted on a sound-absorbing panel that makes the sleeping area soundproof.
In addition to the perimeter wall units, the area features an electric retractable step for climbing up to the twin beds and a large wardrobe with a door with a compass opening and an electric clothes rail.
The mattresses are made of microcellular foam of vegetable origin. It is an elastic material that supports the body, resists deformation and is highly breathable to prevent the formation of mould and the proliferation of mites and bacteria. The memory foam topper ensures an extremely comfortable rest.
Distinctive atmosphere
The toilet has innovative design solutions that cleverly use volumes. The details and materials give the room personality, creating a distinctive and refined atmosphere. The wallpaper covering the shower and the wall above the washbasin – the same as in the sleeping area – is coated with waterproof fibreglass.
